HOW many of you have heard the old saying “Life begins at 40” or the slogan “50 and fabulous’? Whoever coined those phrases must have been a man because the older we women get the higher maintenance we need to actually resemble what our former selves used to be. Men, on the other hand, simply jump out of the shower, look great with salt and pepper hair, perhaps dab on a bit of moisturizer and they are good to go. Unfair as it may sound that is the reality of men aging.
For women, it’s a whole different story. We spend a ton of money picking the right foundation that reflects light or fills in our wrinkled faces. We also keep our local dermatologist in business with regular injections of botox and restalyn or whatever new anti aging product is in the market Meanwhile, whilst we are suffering being injected with botulinium on our faces the men who are aging gracefully and hooking up with women half our age are enjoying themselves.
Sometime I wonder why is it when Demi Moore and Madonna hook up with younger men it makes headlines? But when older men hook tip with younger women no one gives a rat’s ass. Just because women get old and menopausal people think we have nothing left in life.
